Is Netflix Streaming Really Unlimited? Man Watches 252 Films To Find OutAre you a fan of Netflix? The service was wildly popular up until last year when the company decided to separate its video streaming and DVD services. Most users were very unhappy since it meant a price hike for those who wanted to keep both services. Needless to say, the company has had a bit of bad press since the incident.
There is one man, however, who believes wholeheartedly in Netflix. New York comedian and filmmaker Mark Malkoff, who is known for his both humorous and unusual video experiments including visiting all 171 Starbucks' locations in Manhattan in one day and living in an IKEA store for an entire week, decided to test Netflix's unlimited streaming service to see just how good it is.
He took on the challenge of watching 250 streaming Netflix movies in a single month to really get the full value from his payment of $7.99 per month. Malkoff succeeded at his challenge and actually watched 252 movies, which equates to 404.25 hours of film at a cost of 3.2 cents per movie.
Malkoff made the experience very interactive and had followers sending him movie suggestions on Facebook and Twitter from all over the world. He was able to achieve his goal by accessing Netflix on multiple devices including his iPhone, iPad, and, of course, his TV.
Despite Malkoff's overload of movies, he's very pleased with Netflix's streaming service telling us that he has nothing bad to say about it. According to him, the price is great and the entertainment is great as well.
